Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is one of the most significant buildings in Irish history. It was constructed in the 12th century on the site of a Viking settlement. Over the years, it underwent several incidents and damages, resulting in extensive reconstruction. The castle is now a major tourist attraction in Dublin.

Dublin Castle served as a seat of English and later British rule before being handed over to the Irish government in 1922 following its independence. It is now a government complex and is used for presidential inaugurations and official receptions for guests such as heads of state and kings in the State Apartments located in the southern part of the castle.

Surrounding Dublin Castle are lush green gardens adorned with sculptures and fountains, creating a beautiful scene.
