Old Town Square in Prague
Prague's Old Town Square is a historical hub featuring a collection of historic buildings distinguished by their unique designs and colors. It houses the Gothic Týn Church, which served as the main church in this part of the city since the 14th century, the Astronomical Clock dating back to the Middle Ages, the Baroque St. Nicholas Church, and the Kinský Palace which has become an art museum. Additionally, there are cafes and shops surrounding the square.
In the center of the Old Town Square in Prague stands a statue of the religious reformer Jan Hus, who was burned at the stake in Constance due to his beliefs, sparking the Hussite Wars. The memorial statue known as the Jan Hus Memorial was erected on July 6, 1915, on the 500th anniversary of his death.
