Ras Al Jinz Reserve
Ras Al Jinz Reserve is located in the eastern region of Oman and is home to approximately 13,000 green turtles. The turtles nest and reproduce on the beach.
The reserve was declared a natural sanctuary in 1996 and is known as the first spot in the Arab world where the sun rises.
Oman has been actively promoting and developing tourism in the region, and the famous Ras Al Hadd Beach Resort was established. The resort features rooms that offer direct views of the sea. The architecture of the resort is designed in the traditional Omani style resembling huts. The resort attracts thousands of visitors and diving enthusiasts due to the abundant coral reefs and rare fish found in the area. Moreover, the region is also known for its abundance of pearls.
