Phoenix Park
The Phoenix Park is located north of the River Liffey, just 3 km from the city center of Dublin. The term "Phoenix" translates to clean water in Irish. It is one of the largest parks in Europe, covering an area of 707 hectares. The park is surrounded by an 11 km-long wall and is a significant tourist destination in both Dublin and Ireland.
Phoenix Park includes vast green spaces and tree-lined avenues. The park is home to wild fallow deer and features a lake inhabited by various bird species. There's also a commemorative monument with a phoenix on its pinnacle. In addition to these, the park offers several public facilities such as cafés and playgrounds.
Visitors can explore Phoenix Park by taking one of the horse-drawn carriages available within the park.
