Martyrs Park
Covering an area of 200,000 square meters, Al-Shaheed Park, located on the outskirts of Kuwait City, is one of the prominent tourist attractions in the country. It serves as an essential recreational spot for the city's residents, offering a center for various activities such as enjoying nature and engaging in sports.
The park features numerous green spaces, botanical gardens, an artificial lake, and sports facilities. Additionally, it holds historical landmarks, including the "Shaab Gate," one of the five remaining gates of the old Kuwait City wall. The park is also home to two museums: the Natural History Museum, which represents the country's natural heritage, and the Memorial Museum, narrating the cultural and national history of Kuwait.
As the name suggests, the park includes a seven-meter-tall memorial to honor and commemorate the nation's martyrs. Another monument named "The Dusonor Monument" was constructed to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Kuwaiti Constitution. Moreover, the park offers various service facilities overlooking picturesque landscapes.
