Reykjavík Town Hall

Reykjavík Town Hall, located in the capital city of Reykjavik, is one of the most important buildings in the Icelandic capital. The town hall is a major tourist attraction due to its historical significance. The building overlooks an archaeological excavation site, and it doesn't just display the findings from the excavations, but also showcases artifacts from various other Icelandic archaeological sites.

The town hall was opened in the late 20th century, specifically in 1992, after a fierce international competition among several architectural firms for the project. The renowned architectural studio, Studio Granda, won the project. Inside the town hall, there is a three-dimensional model of Iceland.
