Luxor Museum

The Luxor Museum is one of the most important historical museums in the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is located on the Nile Corniche in the heart of Luxor city, formerly known as "Thebes."

The Luxor Museum was inaugurated by President Anwar Sadat and his guest Valéry Giscard d'Estaing in the year 1975. The collection housed within the museum is considered the second most valuable collection after the one found in the Cairo International Museum of Antiquities.

Key Exhibits:

Among the most significant exhibits at the Luxor Museum are items from the tomb of King Tutankhamun, which are considered some of the most beautiful artifacts in the world. The museum also contains statues from the New Kingdom period, including a statue discovered near the Luxor Temple in 1989. Additionally, the museum is filled with mummies, including the mummy of Ramesses I and the mummy of Ahmose I.
