History of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina gained independence in the 1990s following the breakup of Yugoslavia. The country experienced internal wars and ethnic divisions during its early years of independence. After the devastating Bosnian War that lasted until 1995, the Dayton Agreement was signed, which helped achieve peace and put an end to the conflict.
