Description of Naseef's house in Jeddah
Historical Nasif House, also known as "بيت نصيف التاريخي" in Arabic, is a historical palace located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was constructed in 1881 CE (1289 AH) by Omar Nasif. In the past, when high-ranking officials visited Jeddah and there were no hotels available, they used to stay in Nasif House. The visits of kings and princes gave the palace significant political and historical importance in Saudi Arabia. One of the notable visitors who stayed in Nasif House was King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia. After being deposed from power, the last Ottoman Sultan, Mehmed VI, was also invited by Sharif Hussein to visit Jeddah and stayed in Nasif House. The house was a hospitable palace for the noble guests of the Hejaz region.
