Amalienborg Palace: The Winter Residence of the Danish Royal Family in Copenhagen

Amalienborg Palace is the winter residence of the Danish royal family and is located in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the opposite bank of the Royal Library. The palace complex consists of four buildings surrounding a square, featuring a statue of King Frederick V riding a horse at its center. The famous Royal Guard is also present in their distinctive style within the square.

Constructed in 1750, Amalienborg Palace exhibits a modern architectural style known as Rococo, designed by the architect Nicolai Eigtved. The palace square attracts tourists who come to admire its beautiful architecture. While visitors are not allowed to explore the interior of the palace due to its current use by the royal family, there are food vendors around the area. Additionally, there is a museum within the palace complex called the Amalienborg Museum, which welcomes visitors.
