Casamilla

Casa Milà, known locally as La Pedrera, is one of the most peculiar buildings in the world. This uniquely shaped structure is situated in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Spain.

Casa Milà stands out for its unparalleled architectural design. History has yet to produce a similar masterpiece. Its form consists of irregularly shaped semi-circular arcs that come together externally and wrap around in a circular manner, forming an irregular, hollow circle on the inside. Notably, it wasn't constructed using a concrete foundation; rather, it was built with a metallic framework, using metal pillars. Despite the challenges in this field during its construction, this remarkable masterpiece was erected at the beginning of the 20th century, precisely between 1906 and 1912. It's also the first building in Spain to house an underground car park.
