Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace is located in the heart of London, serving as the residence of the Queen of England and the administrative headquarters of the United Kingdom's monarchy. Formerly known as "Buckingham House," it was originally built as a grand rural residence by the Duke of Buckingham in 1703. The palace remained a private property for 150 years before King George III acquired it in 1761. Buckingham Palace has been the royal family's official residence since Queen Victoria moved there in 1837.
The palace encompasses 775 rooms, including 19 formal rooms, 52 royal bedrooms, guest rooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices, and 78 bathrooms.
