Al Ahmadi Governorate: Comprehensive Cultural and Historical Experience in Kuwait

Al Ahmadi is one of the Kuwaiti provinces located in the southern part of Kuwait, approximately 33 km from the capital. It is the second-largest province in Kuwait in terms of area, covering about 5,120 square kilometers.

Al Ahmadi is one of the most significant oil centers in Kuwait, as it is home to the Burgan Oil Field, the second-largest oil field in the world.

History

While there is no exact founding date for Al Ahmadi, it can be said that the city began to flourish between 1946 and 1949 during the reign of Amir Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, after whom the city is named. The architecture of Al Ahmadi was initially limited to oil company buildings before the city was developed and its infrastructure improved through the construction of buildings and roadways. Over time, Al Ahmadi has become a fully developed city.

Climate

The climate of Al Ahmadi is continental, with hot and dry summers where temperatures can exceed an average of 45 degrees Celsius during the day. The winter season is characterized by cold temperatures and occasional rainfall, with an average temperature of around 13 degrees Celsius.
