Salzburg Zoo
The Salzburg Zoo is located on the slopes of Mount Hellbrunn in the city of Salzburg in Austria. It was opened in 1961 and covers an area of 14 hectares. The zoo is a popular tourist destination in the city.
Salzburg Zoo is home to over 1200 animals from 140 different species and families, including endangered species. Around 800 animals are native to the Salzburg region, while the rest come from various countries and continents around the world.
Visitors to Salzburg Zoo can also visit the nearby famous Hellbrunn Palace.
