Scientific Center
The Scientific Center in Kuwait was opened in 2000, with a massive construction cost exceeding 25 million Kuwaiti Dinars. It occupies an area of over 80,000 square meters, making it the first scientific facility of its kind in Kuwait and one of the first in the Gulf region to provide scientific, cultural, and environmental activities in this manner.
The center consists of four main facilities: The Aquarium, the i-max cinema hall, the Discovery Hall, and the Dhow Harbor.
The Aquarium stands out for its immense capacity, holding more than 1.5 million liters of water, filled with various types of fish, marine creatures, and coral reefs. It offers special shows, including shark diving experiences.
The i-max cinema hall was the first of its kind in the Middle East when it was built, and it still maintains the highest standards of audio and visual systems to offer a unique experience to all viewers.
The Discovery Hall contains several activities tailored to explain complex scientific materials in a simpler way for both children and adults. It features interactive devices that allow you to experience experiments realistically.
Finally, visitors can explore the Dhow Harbor, representing the history of Kuwait's civilization, a source of pride and joy for the people of the country. Afterward, visitors can enjoy food or coffee in the facilities overlooking the sea.
