Zurich Zoo in Rapperswil: Interactive Wildlife Experience
Zurich Zoo is situated in the Rapperswil area along the banks of the Zurich River. It was opened in 1929 and stands as one of the largest and most famous zoos in Europe, as well as a significant tourist destination in Zurich.
The zoo boasts more than 300 different species and families of animals, including rhinos, penguins, elephants, and giraffes. It also houses many other rare species and families. The zoo is divided into various sections, each replicating a specific habitat: from the heat of African deserts to humid tropical forests and even chilly snow-covered mountains.
The zoo features several restaurants and a gift shop for souvenirs.
