The new museum

The Neues Museum (New Museum) is located next to the Altes Museum on Museum Island in the city of Berlin. It was built between 1843 and 1855. The museum was completely destroyed during World War II but was later reconstructed and reopened its doors in 2009.

The museum is divided into three floors. The first floor houses ancient Egyptian artifacts, some of which date back to over 3000 years ago. The second floor contains artifacts from the Near East and some Greek artifacts. The third floor showcases various artifacts from Berlin, Troy, and different European countries. The museum is most famous for its collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, with one of the most renowned pieces being the bust of Nefertiti.
