Austrian National Library
The Austrian National Library stands as one of the oldest libraries in history, established in Vienna between 1685 and 1740. Its establishment was decreed by the Habsburg family, who ruled at the time. Formerly known as the Imperial Library, it is the richest library in Austria, boasting a collection of 7.5 million books, volumes, and documents. Additionally, the library houses a significant collection of important books, some of which date back 1500 years.
The exquisite architectural design both inside and outside the Austrian National Library attracts numerous visitors, whether avid readers or those less inclined towards reading.
Opening Hours:
From Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except for Thursdays when it's open until 9:00 PM.
Closed on Mondays.
