Atatürk Airport: Gateway to Istanbul and the World of Travel

Ataturk Airport was once one of the largest airports in the Turkish Republic and was located in Istanbul.

The airport was built 65 years ago, but its story came to an end in 2019 when it was converted into an aircraft museum, used for hosting diplomatic guests and cargo planes, and became a venue for local competitions in Turkey, such as the "Teknofest" competition held annually.

The airport was named after the Turkish President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who is considered the founder of modern Turkey.
