Mohammed VI Museum of Modern Art

Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is one of the most important museums in the country and is the largest of its kind since Morocco gained independence from French colonization.

The Mohammed VI Museum combines modern and contemporary art and is the first Moroccan public museum that meets international standards in terms of organization. Founded in 2014 by King Mohammed VI, it took 10 years to construct, giving us a Moroccan architectural style that connects the past and present through the Moorish design, known for its precise use of gypsum and decorations.

The museum aims to promote Moroccan culture and civilization on a global scale and features works from over 200 Moroccan artists, including renowned names like Hassan El Hajjaj and Ahmed Yaaqobi, who contribute to the Moroccan artistic creativity in the field of visual arts.

The museum operates daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except on Tuesdays when it is closed.
